Executive Headteacher

Mrs M Anderton

Mrs Anderton has over 20 years of experience working in local Catholic schools and is committed to developing and supporting the faith of our children. She believes that everyone is unique and made in the image of God and that all children should celebrate and understand their differences. Mrs Anderton considers communication as the key to maintain a thriving community and has an open door policy. A positive early education can open many doors for pupils who may grow up to take on jobs that do not yet exist. Mrs Anderton believes that every child should be taught to be life-long learners as well as kind and caring members of the community.

Deputy Headteacher

Mrs L Butler

Mrs Butler has over 15 years of experience in education and has always worked at local school, initially joining St Roses in 2016 and then returning again in 2023. She demonstrates a strong commitment to supporting children’s learning and development and has a thorough understanding of early years education, including the importance of learning through play, and is deeply committed to inclusive practice.  Mrs Butler is a qualified SENco and has extensive experience teaching across all classes in infant schools and beyond, and she actively promotes Catholic values, fostering a caring, respectful, and faith-centred learning environment.

Mrs Butler is the Deputy Headteacher and the DSL and the school's named SENco, a role shared with Mrs Pritchard. Mrs Butler also leads English (including phonics) throughout the school and is our senior mental health and well-being leader. 

Assistant Headteacher

Mrs S Swami

Mrs Swami is an experienced teacher with over ten years of teaching across all primary year groups, from Reception through to Year 6. She is passionate about Catholic education and believes that every child is unique, valued, and called to fulfil their God-given potential. As Assistant Headteacher, she teaches in Year 2 and leads Catholic Life and Mission and Religious Education across the school, working closely with staff, pupils, and families to ensure faith is at the heart of everything we do.

Mrs Pritchard is the Assistant SENCO and works alongside Mrs Butler in the SENco role.

Mrs Swami is KS1 Lead and teaches Year 2 Monday - Wednesday in St Teresa class. She leads RE and Catholic Life across the school. 

Mrs Watson teaches in Year 2, St Teresa class - Thursday and Friday. She leads Computing across the school.

Mrs Retter teaches in Year 1. She leads Art and Design and Design and Technology across the school.

Year 1 Class Teacher - St Anthony Class

Miss B Holder

Miss Holder teaches Year 1. She leads Science and PSHE across the school.

Mrs Pritchard teaches in our Reception St Catherine class and she also leads Maths across the school.

Miss Barry is our trainee teacher and she teachers in our St Catherine class.

Miss Blundell teaches in our Reception St Martin class (Tuesday - Friday).

Mrs M Parfitt

Mrs Parfitt teaches in our Reception St Martin Class on a Monday all day, Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning. She also leads History and Geography across the school.

Mrs Quinn supports  Year 1, St Anthony class part time. She is also our ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) and leads small group and 1:1 interventions across the school.

Mr M Prendiville

Mr Prendiville is our Caretaker and ensures the school grounds and buildings are maintained and operational.

Parish Priest

Father David is our Parish Priest. He visits our school regularly to lead liturgies, Masses and visits classes throughout the year.
